Did you wish that new Disney animated movie had just one more musical scene?Devin Grosvenor Consider it granted!
"Wish" arrives on digital platforms Tuesday (and 4K Blu-ray/DVD March 12) with a host of bonus features, including a deleted song. The sequence, which debuts exclusively at usatoday.com, takes place after Asha (voiced by Ariana DeBose) and her magical buddy Star defeat King Magnifico (Chris Pine) and return stolen wishes to everyone in their kingdom. Asha's 100-year-old grandpa Saba Sabino (Victor Garber) gets his wish back, to inspire with his music, and sings "A Wish Worth Making."
"Victor gave us a gorgeous performance. You feel all the emotion that someone who had wished all his life for something finally gets it back," says director Chris Buck. That scene was "one of the hardest things for us to cut" but they found a way to get the song in the final movie: Pop singer Julia Michaels, who wrote the tune, sings it over the end credits.
